I’m one of these curious people that feels enthusiastic about learning anything. Any kind of music, dance, technology, sports, languages, it doesn’t matter the subject, I just love learning new things.
People always get surprised by how “random” I can be, they usually imagine a stereotyped videogames developer, then get surprised when they see me camping on a deserted beach, or taking high heel dance classes, or playing harmonica solos, or doing skateboard tricks, or taking a first aid course, or a makeup course, or experimenting with amateur radio, or whatever.
Once, a job advisor even told me that I would never get a job because companies tend to look for stereotypes, but my question was… why should I work in such a company? Learning different things is fun and gives you a different perspective for everything, it even helps you understand the people around you, it brings you new hobbies and sometimes even a side job, as was the case with hiking. I made a YouTube channel to talk about my camping gear, and years later I became a certified trekking guide, which is a job I do one weekend a month, just for fun.
